What is PDC?

Pacific Data Commons is a sovereign data marketplace built on Algorand using the x402 payment protocol. AI agents pay Pacific institutions directly in USDC per query. No subscriptions. No intermediaries. SBP is the directory and payment infrastructure only — it never holds funds, never stores your queries' data, and never touches provider data.

Step 1: Get a quote

Every agent run starts with a free dry-run quote — no payment required to see pricing and preview the response shape.

Step 2: Pay and execute

Confirming the quote requires a connected Algorand wallet (Pera or Lute) and a signed on-chain USDC payment — the same flow used in PDC's own Agent Marketplace. Once payment settles on-chain, the agent executes and returns your report.

Step 3: Receive structured Pacific data

Every endpoint response follows the Pacific Data Protocol (PDP) v1.0 schema — a consistent envelope across every provider's data:

Providers set their own prices per tier. 97% of every query fee goes directly to the provider's wallet — SBP never holds funds.

Pacific Service Registry

PDC implements the Pacific Service Registry (PSR) — the machine-readable specification other institutions can implement to run their own PSR-compatible endpoints, connected back to PDC for discovery and payment routing.

External sources

PDC agents can query any approved x402-compatible endpoint beyond PDC's own listings.
